This tip comes to us from a Royal Creek homeowner who recently sold his home. It turned out his home was listed on the county tax roles of having 500 sq ft more of finished space than it actually had. The error probably occurred because the appraiser never entered the house during the appraisal. This error was compounded because the annual property tax statements do not list the square footage of the home. You can check the amount of finished space used in the assessing your property by going to: http://v2.rlid.org/lobrnd/property_info.cfm .
